Hello, everyone! I'm so glad that I found this site! I have recently hit bottom with my alcoholic husband. Well, it was a high bottom, but I'm hoping that I won't have to have another bottom to realize that I need help. I grew up in an alcoholic home. My stepfather was the *A* in my life until I graduated high school. A little over a year ago, I married an *A* who has had two DUI's since we have been together. We are pregnant with our first child and I need help to learn that I can be okay even if he isn't. I need to be able to care for our child even if he can't.
I am 23 years old and I live in Indiana. I have dreams and aspirations for my future, but can't seem to get past the constant doom that I feel due to my reactions and my enabling my *A*, with whom I love to death, but need help. Thanks for listening! I am truly excited to have found these boards! I hope to go to my first F2F meeting when I find one in my area!!!

Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum also. I've been to a couple live meetings in my area but I haven't found one that has been helpful to me yet. So I would like to try this. My husband grew up in an abusive household and has practically no coping skills. So when he started having serious pressures on his job a couple years ago, he turned to crack cocaine. Anyway, he's in the recovery program right now and has had a clean time of 6 mos. (It's his second 6 months.) He's working his recovery very seriously, but I just need to connect with someone that's experiencing what I'm going through.
