I've been away from A.A for a while now, would like to hear from some people that are in kind of the same boat, or in any boat if it's sinking.
Thanks, Michael

Don't worry about being away, I've done it myself, and after I came back my sponsor told me that now I'll just work a little harder and take my life more serious, I'm sure you've heard it a dozen times at meetings that this iis just laying in wait, waiting for you to come back, I've burried alot of people, and I just thank the higher power that I didn't give in today yet, I've got a great sponsor that holds nothing back when I mess up, but that's what I need to hear now and then, if I take over my life is a mess.

Don't beat yourself up you had enough to come, some aren't so lucky.

As I was told. "Welcome Home"

Keep up the good work, use the phone

Welcome Home,
I just got back myself. Things are going pretty well, but I had to jump in full speed. I go to 2 meetings a day and do alot of reading. Mostly "Living Sober" right now trying to stay that way. I got a new sponsor and she is working out well. The thing that everyone says is " at least you came back". Everyone is glad that I came back and these are people that didn't even know me.
They say you can't go home again, but that is not true, we AA's can always go home. The real trick is not to leave. When I stopped going to meetings, it wasn't to long after that that I went back out!!! I was out for 15 years!!!!!! So don't feel bad. I felt bad when I went to my first meeting, by the time it was done I didn't feel bad, I felt hope!!!!!!! biggrin.gif "But for the Grace of God go I"

Keep coming back,
Ruth R.

I'm sorry didn't get back to you right away but my sponsor called and I had to go on a 12th step call, this one after got there decided he didn't need help, you probably ran across some of those, but after alot of talking (him not us) he decided that maybe he did need help, so all we can see is if he's serious, tonight he said he wanted us to pick him up for a meeting tommorow, You made the right choicre coming back, I almost didn't, but I guess my HP was watching out for me and I made the decision to come back, I was handed a cup of coffee and told welcome home, that was quite a few 24's ago, keep coming back, use the phone, read all you can get your hands on beside the big book I like Experience, Strength and Hope, also Dr. Bob and the good old timers.

Yours in sobriety

I am also back. Tired of riding the "relapse roller coaster." I look forward to participating in my recovery and also, hopefully, to help others with theirs.

It's good to see people returning to AA.

Welcome back, you have made the right choice as you say you are tired of the roller coaster, I have gone through the same thing, however through alot of f2f face to face meetings, a great sponsor, and the fellowship I have made quite a few 24 hours, but only today matters, again welcome, keep coming back and check the live chat often, you will find many interesting topics and people to talk with, again welcome back, feel free to contact me anytime with any questions or help you may need.
