Hi Rick, my name is Cathy & I'm an alcoholic with 17 years of sobriety. Are you up & getting around better yet. I have had several surgeries in sobriety. Has the pain med's bothered you? I had to stick close to my sponsor when I was going through surgery. At my home group there were members that brought meetings to my house & checked on me, that was awesome. I hope you are doing better. Hang in there-I had to remember that I was not in charge of my recovery. Have an awesome day!!!!

[font=Arial][size=4]Hello to one and all and thank you for sharing your strength and hope. I say that I have an " EVIL TWIN " . I am dual diagnosed manic Bi-polar and in looking back have been self medicating from the age of 9 . I became very comfortable very quickly with what I call going numb, I felt and sometimes stilll feel that no one can hurt me that way , the old " I'll hurt myself first ". on the flip side I did find out that when you ###### yourself at least you know its done right ! on Dec. 24th I met someone who's own sobriety and support inspired me to stop killing myself with crack and pick myself up of the ground. ( yes, I was a 300.00 to 500.00 a day skid row addict )Ive had my little relapses or " momentary lapses of reason ", but continue to try . I am my own worst enemy trying to learn to be my own best friend. I have a problem with follow through and meetings which is why I see this could be a valuable tool. I would love to get some feedback and look forward to all or any. till then stay strong, stay positive, and most important , STAY SOBER ! EVIL TWIN
