For some reason love is not a very cool thing these days.
We have lost touch with the art of love and we desperately need to get it back. Love is not romance. It is not sex. It is so much more than that.
This is one of the reasons that we have lost touch with love because we really have no idea what it is. Love is many things.
The point of looking at all of this is to show you that love is far more than just the romantic versions that we see on TV. It is about brotherhood, community, friendship, altruism, happiness and so on. When we look at love in these broader terms it is easy to see how it can be so important for the world today. And that is why we need to remember how to do it.

Why we have forgotten about love.
It is not at the forefront of people’s “to do” list. This is a very sad state of affairs. So what have I been thinking about?
The pace of the modern world is scary. We are so absorbed in our own wellbeing and day-to-day activities that we have forgotten about love.

What happened to love? Why is everything now about “me”?
Perhaps we don’t have time to think about anything else.We have forgotten about love because we are too interested in self cherishing. We are under the impression that by taking care of number one we will get what we want. If I look after myself I will get happiness. We don’t have time to stop and think about loving other people because we are too busy loving ourselves.
But there is one major problem with this attitude: it doesn’t work. We aren’t happy and we aren’t getting any better.

Conclusion
I have decided that it is time for me to step up and start applying love in every scenario. I no longer want to be the person who only looks out for number one. Sure, I am going to keep working and making money.
But what I am not going to do is react in anger or search for my welfare at the expense of others. I am going to start putting others first and love them regardless of their age, driving ability or behavior.

I had forgotten about love but I desperately need it back. wink.gif

The Secret to Relationships summary.
When you want to attract a relationship, make sure you thoughts, words, actions, and surroundings don't contradict your desires.

Your job is you. Unless you fill yourself up first, you have nothing to give anybody.

Treat yourself with love and respect, and you will attract people who show you love and respect.

When you feel bad about yourself, you block the love and instead you attract more people and situations that will continue to make you feel bad about you.

Focus on the qualities you love about yourself and the law of attraction will show you more great things about you.

To make a relationship work, focus on what you appreciate about the other person, and not your complaints. When you focus on the strengths, you will get more of them. wub.gif

The Secret to the World Summary.
What you resist, you attract, because you are powerfully focused on it with emotion.
To change anything, go within and emit a new signal with your thoughts and feelings.

You cannot help the world by focusing on the negative things. As you focus on the world's negative events, you not only add to them, but you also bring more negative things into your own life.

Instead of focusing on the world's problems, give your attention and energy to Trust, Love, Abundance, Education, and Peace.

We will never run out of good things because there's more than enough to go around for everyone. Life is meant to be abundant.

You will have the ability to tap into the unlimited supply through your thoughts and feelings and bring it into your experience.

Praise and bless everything in the world, and you will dissolve Negativity and Discord and align yourself with - Love. biggrin.gif

ALL= Always Live Lovingly.
Spiritual growth is an important inner process, not just for people who
are cloistered, and who are dedicated to seeking constant spiritual
awakening. Spiritual growth is of paramount importance to everyone for a better,
happier and more harmonious life, free of tension and strain, fear and anxiety.

Spiritual growth is the process of getting rid of wrong concepts, thoughts
and beliefs about who we are and about and the world in which we live.
Through this process we increase our awareness of our true inner being, the
true spirit that we are. It is a process of looking inside us, shedding our
illusions and uncovering our true essence, which is always present, but
often hidden beyond the ego.

Why should we be interested in spiritual growth? What are the signs that
we are growing spiritually? What are the benefits? Here are a few signs and
benefits:

*We develop detachment, which leads to inner peace.

*We learn not to let outside circumstance affect our moods and states of
mind.

*We become more patient and tolerant.

*We learn to rise above frustration, disappointment and negative feelings.

*Inner power and strength increase.

*This process leads to increased feeling of happiness.

*Our intuition gets sharper.

*We become better citizens of this world.

*Our understanding of our inner essence, what we are, and why we are here
grows.

How can one grow spiritually? The term spiritual growth is not really
correct. The spirit is perfect and does not need to grow. It is a term that
describes a process of becoming more aware of what and who we are, growing to
look at our life and circumstances from a different, more detached point of
view, and of putting things into the proper perspective. It is a process
of shedding negative and limiting habits, thoughts and beliefs, and letting
the inner self within us shine out.

Imagine a radiant bulb of light, hidden beneath layers of various
materials. To let the light of the bulb shine out and illuminate the surroundings,
you do not have to strengthen the light or change the bulb. All you have to
do is to take away the layers that are covering it. As you remove layer
after layer the light shines more radiantly and strongly.

How do you remove the layers that are covering the light of your inner
self? You do so through positive thinking, reading spiritual literature,
reading spiritual quotes, and by practicing concentration, meditation and other
inner training techniques. If you browse this website, you will find a lot
of information, advice and instructions for spiritual growth.

Here are a few suggestions to start you on the road of spiritual growth:

*Acknowledge the fact that you are a spirit with a physical body, not a
physical body with a spirit. If you can accept this idea, it will change your
attitude toward many things in your life.

*Look inside you, and try to find out what it is that makes you feel alive.

*Make an effort to think positively. If you find yourself thinking
negatively, immediately direct your mind to thinking on something positive.

Open the door for the positive and close it for the negative.

*Always try to look at the bright side of life. Your inner self is
stronger than your circumstances. Don't let circumstances and situations dictate
to you how to feel or think.

*Endeavor to focus your attention on everything you do, instead of letting
your attention go wherever it desires.

*Start learning and practicing meditation.

*Do your best to be tolerant, patient, tactful and considerate.

*Thank God for everything that you get. wink.gif

Putting in the Elbow Grease

I will be willing to do the daily work that is required to have the life I want to have. A good life is brought forth through many doors. The door of visualization, the door or seeing and the door of work. As I progress along my path I will learn how to 'work smarter'. How to use my energies more efficiently and waste less time needlessly. I'll learn how to get out of my own way and let my energies flow more freely. I'll learn how to listen to others and make my own decisions, how to have boundaries that are porous and flexible rather than either rigid or weak. I will find my sense of self and be able to sustain it even in the presence of others. I'll develop strength, wisdom, patience and compassion. I will develop my own unique gifts and strengths. wink.gif

Pocket Sponsor - Book - Quote

Why wonder why? Why ask why? The 'why' questions spring from only one place inside: self-pity. The questions to ask are the 'how' questions. The right questions contain clues to the answers we need.

When I ask the right question, I get the right answer.

Time for Joy - Book - Quote

Today I'm stretching myself and taking new risks.
Today the faith is working to replace the fear that has held me back.
